I happened across Dr. Bruce at an information booth. I had always been a skeptic of chiropractic, notably because I had sustained a significant spinal injury when I was a kid doing gymnastics; I was under the assumption that chiropractic adjustments would leave me a paraplegic! Well, I was wrong.
I was easily goaded into having an assessment! And guess what? My spine was a disaster. I came to Dr. Bruce's office, where we reviewed all the possible spinal impacts that my body sustained. Given my sports background, there were well over 50 incidents. The x-rays showed a cervical spine in a grotesquely abnormal position.
It became immediately obvious why I was "sick", why I was tired, why I was numb and tingling, why my brain confused sensory data… My spine was a disaster, and the most logical thing to do was treat the problem, not mask the symptoms. Enter chiropractic!
I am happy to report that in about 4 years, I went from having no energy, and difficulty with any physical activity, to now enjoying sports again! I took up golf. I am on a competitive masters kayak team, and scored 2 silver medals at a national event last year. I can run 10km -I couldn’t even do that *before* I got sick! I feel great, healthy, like I can learn any new sport I want, I am in the best physical shape of my life.
Chiropractic can even help migraines (I know this because I picked up a prescription for migraine medication, then thought the better option for the headache was to have my neck adjusted -it worked.).
I am a convert. Now when someone I know isn't feeling well, I refer him or her to try chiropractic! On my HR forms where any medical information is required, it's Dr. Bruce's name I enter. He fixed a problem that other doctors couldn't even identify. Now he is my primary care provider, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Thanks from a seriously grateful patient!

Regarding my acquaintance with chiropractic and Dr. Bruce Lambert,
One and a half years ago, I was going through hell with my almost two year old daughter. She had recurring ear infections that were causing her intense pain and were resistant to antibiotic treatment. Her sleep patterns had been abnormal from birth, with an average waking rate of twelve times per night. It was horrible to see my little baby in such distress. She was lethargic and tired most of the time, having some sort of ear infection more often than not. We waited for five months to get an appointment with a paediatric ear, nose and throat specialist, who was ready to perform surgery on my daughter to try to correct the problem.
The day of our appointment, I happened upon Dr. Lambert outside of his office, which is coincidentally in the same building that I live in. He, always being the friendly and neighbourly type, could see my distress as Gwen and I paced around having just missed our ride to the long awaited specialist appointment. After a brief explanation of my daughter's issues, Dr. Lambert brought me into his office and pretty much bombarded me with a wealth of information on non-invasive and safe treatment for paediatric ear infection. This was information no other medical professional had offered to us. Chiropractic wasn’t something I, not probably most other parents would consider for their young child with such health problems.
The same day, Dr Lambert examined my daughter with the most gentle and calm manner, and he made us both feel very comfortable. He was immediately able to detect that the top two vertebrae, known as C1 and C2, were severely out of alignment, or "subluxated".
We were able to determine that my daughter had not had any significant trauma, which was another thing I always associated with Chiropractic. She had lived a normal life, she’d never had any severe accidents or falls that might have caused this misalignment. The only remaining factor could possibly be: During delivery, she had to have the aid of vacuum extraction because our doctor panicked when her heartbeat slowed. Now, I know I’m rambling but here comes the point.
After such an eye opening and calming informational visit, I asked Dr. Lambert if he would adjust my daughter that very day. I was moved by this sudden wealth of knowledge, and the possibility that I may not have to put my daughter under the knife. Dr. Lambert gently and precisely adjusted my daughter’s neck . . . (there) was a very rapid release of tension in my daughter.
That night Gwen slept through the night. I, of course, awoke several times to check her breathing! After all going from ten to twelve wake-ups a night to none? I simply wasn’t used to the sleep! It’s been a year and a half since that first adjustment and after regular visits for the first six months or so, and tune ups about once or twice a month, my daughter has not had an ear infection since. Her demeanour changed almost immediately. She was sleeping at night, so she had energy during the day to grow and play. And her health has been phenomenal, in all aspects. Our family refers to chiropractic and Dr. Lambert as one of out Guardian Angels, and now when my daughter sees him, she runs to the table for an adjustment. I don’t know what would have happened if we hadn’t discovered chiropractic that day. But, I can say this, I carry multiple copies of his business card in my wallet at all times and I tell this story whenever I can to parents and grandparents, or interested people alike. Our lives have truly been changed and enlightened by Chiropractic.
Sincerely,

I first visited Lambert Chiropractic Health Centre because of the continual back and shoulder pain I had been living with over the past 3 years. I was starting to experience lower back pain when sitting at my sewing machine for any length of time even with a properly supportive task chair. My neck was stiff and sore most of the time and I was getting more headaches for no obvious reason. I couldn’t move my left shoulder properly and was waking up with a numb arm nearly every morning. Even long walks were beginning to make my knees and hips ache. At 35, I was still healthy, strong and flexible but many of the things I enjoyed were no longer possible without pain. I was starting to feel older than my years and it was beginning to affect my enjoyment of life.
Dr. Bruce Lambert assessed my spine and found that I had subluxations that were affecting the rest of my body. My pelvis was out of alignment which was causing a 15 lb weight shift onto one foot thus affecting my knees. I had poor posture and jaw-jutting causing back and neck aches. The numbness in my left arm was caused by muscle damage in the shoulder that was restricting the range of motion my shoulder and neck. It would not heal properly if left untreated. Dr. Lambert recommended a series of adjustments to address the subluxations in my spine that were affecting my overall spinal posture and my health in general.
I was apprehensive that adjustment would hurt. Dr. Lambert targeted each subluxation and coaxed the bones and muscles into their proper position. I felt absolutely no pain. He repositioned my shoulder and instantly the ache vanished. I could move my shoulder in a full circle without flinching. It felt great. There was no stiffness in my back, neck or shoulder and my range of motion had significantly increased. He showed me exercises to help increase muscle strength that I could do on my own. I looked forward to each visit knowing that I would feel better coming out than going in!
Now, just 3 months since my first adjustment, I feel terrific. I have, for the first time in years, been able to sit and sew all day without backache. My neck doesn’t grind when I turn my head and my and my full range of motion has returned. My left shoulder works properly and my arm doesn’t go numb anymore. I can walk for hours free of aches in my knees and hips and my balance and coordination have improved. I don’t get as many headaches and my posture is much improved. I feel as if I’ve been given my 25 year old body back.
Chiropractic has certainly made an improvement in the overall quality of my health and I am one of his most grateful (and flexible) patients. I will continue to recommend Chiropractic care to my family and friends.

My first encounter with a Chiropractor was in October 2002.I often had a sore back, but this was very different. The pain in my lower back was severe and debilitating. My son took me to Dr. Bruce Lambert. He did a case history, X-rays, as well as a thorough exam of my spine.
The pain in my lower back was brought on by excess stress.I started initial intensive care to stabilize and strengthen the spine. My maintenance program now has had a very positive outcome, helping me avoid problems and relapse.I no longer have the tightness in my chest.I am standing taller. My sinus problems are less. Most importantly, I am able to smell for the first time in my life! What a great feeling!
A “thank you” to Dr. Bruce Lambert and his staff for a lovely experience.
